The opening ceremony of this training course.

At the opening ceremony, on behalf of the school, Dong Lunhong welcomed the training class held at SUSTech, and introduced the development of the school and the preparation of the school's orientation team, especially the introduction of high-level athletes from the national orientation team to improve SUSTech's Orienteering training level. Li Wei'an and Zhang Xin'an respectively explained and explained the training requirements and assessment requirements. Finally, Lin Zhong pointed out that the core of the organization of orienteering competitions is the referees, and the referee's level of refereeing is directly related to the organization level of the competition and the quality of the competition. Facing the impact of the new crown epidemic, most of the domestic orienteering competitions this year have been affected and impacted to a certain extent. "Innovate new opportunities in the crisis and open new games in the changing situation." Orienteering is time-sharing, zoned, and batched. The characteristics of sub-routes, low organizational costs, and flexible use of venues meet the needs of people for sports and fitness during the normalization of epidemic prevention and control. In particular, the series of directional sports public welfare activities "After wind and rain, see the rainbow" has been set off nationwide. The new climax of the national fitness exercise stimulates the consumption of public sports and fitness, and helps the sports industry to resume work and production. Under the new situation, orienteering events must be standardized and reformed to gradually establish a scientific and reasonable orienteering competition system. Reasonably plan national-level events, regulate the quantity and quality of national-level events, and control the quality by professional teams, and insist on maintaining the leading position in the country; innovate organizational forms, implement competitive and mass event settings, and take into account the common development of high-level sports and popularization , And must increase the viewing, innovation, and entertainment of directional events. In order to ensure the growth of the number of matches and the improvement of the quality, the association will increase the training and promotion of national referees, and increase the registration and management of national referees in the next few years. First, we must improve the hierarchical authorization system, and further grant provincial and municipal referees level training and assessment authority; second, we must gradually implement the training system, training and issuing certificates, and holding certificates. I hope that China’s orienteering people will take the achievements of the Guangdong World Cup as a new starting point, and have the mind and spirit of "I do not have to be successful, but I must have me", one step at a time, solid, steady and far-reaching, towards higher The goal of forge ahead, continue to write brilliant, and create another miracle.

This training course mainly focuses on the four aspects of China's orienteering referee management methods, orienteering rules and refereeing methods, the latest international norms of orienteering maps, and the exchange and discussion of orienteering referee experience. The assessment content includes: written test of referee theory, competition center and starting and ending venue planning and competition route design assessment, 2400-meter running test, stadium layout checkpoint assessment, and stadium tour point assessment.

The trainees who participated in the training said that the training was compactly arranged, rich in content, and continuous high-intensity learning, so that the trainees fully realized that to be a national referee requires not only solid orientation skills, proficiency in rules and judging methods, but also Need to have sufficient physical fitness.

This training course will further promote the promotion and popularization of orienteering in our country, improve the professional and international level of domestic referees, and reserve, excavate and train more outstanding orienteering national-level referees.
