2011 National Student Orienteering Cartographer Training Course opens in Changsha

On the morning of May 22, 2011, the 2011 National Student Orientation Cartographer Training and Orientation Cartography Standards Publicity and Implementation Class was held at Futai Hotel, Changsha, Hunan Province. The 5-day training course attracted nearly 40 teachers from more than 20 provinces and cities across the country.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Tang Wanhui, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Students Orienteering Association. At the opening ceremony, Professor Jiang Jingping, Secretary-General of the Association, delivered an important speech. First of all, he welcomed the students who came to Changsha to participate in the mapper training class on behalf of the Chinese Students Orienteering Association. In his speech, he stressed that maps are the basis for conducting orienteering, and hoped that the students who came to study would cherish this learning opportunity, Make the training achieve the best results.
The cartographer training class and the orienteering cartography standard publicity and implementation class will adopt the teaching mode of combining classroom teaching with field practice. Through the teaching method of first theory, then practice, and then guidance, students can truly master the basic cartography level.
The guests attending the opening ceremony also included Professor Zhang Zisha, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Physical Education of Hunan University, Professor Zhang Xin'an, Director of the Map and Route Design Committee of the China Students Orienteering Association, and Professor Sun Guozhao, Beijing Institute of Surveying and Mapping.
