Tianjin Network News Wang Fengxu immediately announced that there are still 25 days to go before the opening of the Ninth Universiade of the People's Republic of China. Today (August 14) afternoon, the Universiade media briefing was held in Tianjin Institute of Sports. Sun Xuezhi, Deputy Director of the Competition Department of the Universiade Organizing Committee, introduced the preparations for the Universiade in detail to the reporters.
The Universiade will be held in 12 colleges and universities in Tianjin and the Haihe Education Park. A total of 23 venues will be used, of which 6 will be newly built, and 17 will be upgraded and improved. These venues have all been completed and delivered for use, and have passed the test match test to meet the competition requirements. At present, the venues are preparing for full load operation test, and the comprehensive renovation of the environment and roads inside and outside the campus is under way.
The timing and scoring equipment, result processing system, arrangement system, and special equipment used in all competitions of the Universiade are well-known brand products at home and abroad, which have been recognized by the General Administration of Sport of the People's Republic of China and relevant domestic and foreign authorities. The technical officials, arbitrators, and referees of all events of the Universiade are determined by the Department of Competitive Sports of the General Administration of Sport of the People's Republic of China and the Joint Secretariat of the Student Sports Association of the Ministry of Education, And unified selection throughout the country. At that time, there will be 330 nationally-designated judges and more than 900 Tianjin judges to enforce the competition. The referees of various events have rich experience in judging, and have participated in a series of international and domestic competitions such as the Olympic Games, the Asian Games, the World University Games, and can fully ensure the fair and fair conduct of the event.
From August 12 to 13, 2012, the trial run of the orienteering off-road project of the Ninth National University Games was held at Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, where the orienteering off-road timing and scoring system was tested, and the event operation process and operation team were trained. On the morning of August 14, the organizing committee of the Universiade held a centralized catering training for the chefs of the host universities at Tianjin University of Technology, and the responsible comrades of the Municipal Institute of Hygiene and Food Supervision explained the requirements of food preparation specifications on the spot.
At present, the registration of athletes and coaches has been completed, with a total of 6300 athletes and coaches participating in the Universiade. In Tianjin, a total of 406 athletes have signed up for the competition. Since January 2011, the representative teams of various events in Tianjin have been training intensively. On the basis of absorbing the excellent training and competition experience at home and abroad, they have adopted scientific training. The athletes' overall mental outlook is good, and their competitive level has been improved. They are striving to create the best results at this Universiade and win glory for Tianjin college students.
