The air in Beijing, washed by the heavy rain on June 7, is particularly fresh and charming against the blue sky and white clouds. The 2014 "Sunshine Sports" orienteering competition for primary and middle school students in Chaoyang District, sponsored by the Chaoyang District Education Commission and the Chaoyang District Sports Bureau, and organized by the Chaoyang District Student Activity Management Center and the Chaoyang District Youth Activity Center, was successfully held in Dongfeng Park.
This competition uses the chinahealth electronic clocking and timing system of Huaruijian Company. The competition is attended by more than 800 athletes from more than 60 units. After fierce competition, Jia Ziqi, Yang Zimo, Wang Zilong, Gong Rouqi, Shang Guanghao and Su Mengya won the first place in the primary school boys' group, primary school girls' group, junior high school boys' group, junior high school girls' group, senior high school boys' group and senior high school girls' group respectively. Li Bo, Gao Qun, He Kai, Su Haipeng, Cui Changyou and Lu Baoqing won the top three in the men's group of teachers under 35 and over 35 respectively; Cai Rui, Fang Guangcai, Liang Meng, Wang Chunxiang, Li Qiuting, and Zhu Ying won the top three places in the women's group of teachers under 35 and over 35 respectively. The primary school affiliated to Beijing Chaoyang Normal School, the secondary school affiliated to Beijing University of Technology and the secondary school affiliated to Beijing University of Technology won the first place in the primary school group, the junior high school group and the senior high school group respectively.
The orienteering competition has been carried out in Chaoyang District for eight consecutive years. Under the restriction of the number of students enrolled in each school, more than 800 people still participated this year. It can be seen that orienteering is deeply loved by students. As a part of the sunshine sports activities for primary and secondary school students in Chaoyang District, the orienteering competition for primary and secondary school students aims to let more people understand this sport through the competition, make orienteering activities better developed and popularized in the primary and secondary schools in the whole district, and let more children enjoy the happiness brought by sunshine orienteering.
