It is an honor for Zhongshan Memorial Middle School to host this competition, but it is also due to Jizhong’s excellent sports performance. Jizhong always attaches great importance to sports education, and actively encourages students to master one or two sports skills in school, so that one sports will accompany students throughout their lives, "Exercise for one hour a day, happy and healthy for a lifetime". In addition, Jizhong also attaches great importance to competitive sports. He has teamed up many times to participate in provincial, national and international sports competitions, and has repeatedly achieved good results in track and field, swimming and various ball competitions. In the past six years, the Chinese Communist Party has sent 126 outstanding athletes to colleges and universities, including 10 national athletes, 54 national first-level athletes, and 137 national second-level athletes. Since 2004, Jizhong Sports has won a total of 34 international gold medals in individual total scores; 162 national gold medals; 97 provincial gold medals and 136 municipal gold medals. Jizhong Youth Sports Club was rated as "the best club in the country", Jizhong orienteering is a provincial traditional event, track and field is a provincial and national traditional event, and the school is also a provincial and national "advanced mass sports collective" and "national sports and health work" Advanced unit".
It is particularly worthy of recognition that the Jizhong Orienteering Team ranked first in the national gold medal list for three consecutive years, and first in the medal list, and won the national city orienteering team championship for four consecutive years. In this competition, 39 members of the Orienteering Team participated in all event groups. In the short-distance competitions that just ended on the morning of July 22, the Jizhong Orienteering Team fought at home and swept a total of 9 gold medals in the high school and junior high school groups, successfully starting the first battle of the competition.
Orienteering, as a very healthy and intelligent sports, is a sport that emphasizes both intelligence and physical strength. Orienteering can be a family sport or an elite talent sport. Orienteering is also a very important world military sport, with its own world championships. It is also a student sports project, because it cultivates students' ability to analyze and solve problems independently, as well as good logical thinking and picture-reading ability. We hope that through the holding of the event, more sports enthusiasts and life enthusiasts can join orienteering.
All you need to participate in orienteering is a directional map, a compass, and a set of ordinary sportswear. In this way, we can walk into nature, get close to nature, and live in harmony with nature. This is also the theme that is closest to the times.
If we say that cities make life better; then we can proudly say that orientation makes people more harmonious with nature.
Happy orientation, beautiful Jizhong. The campus of Jizhong is more harmonious and beautiful under the background of health and nature. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Middle School will earnestly perform its duties, use its own strength to contribute to China's orienteering, and sound the horn of assembly for the school's orienteering with its own charm.
