The National Student Elite Relay Race was held today and the competition closed in Sanya

On December 13, the final match of the 2010 National Student Orienteering Cross-country Classic and the first National University Campus Orienteering Cross-country Tour was held at Sanya College, Sanya, Hainan Province. Today's event is the orienteering cross-country relay race. After the relay race is completed, all competitions will be completed and the final results will be announced.
The competition site is located in the north campus of Sanya University. The terrain is mainly campus and park. The vegetation is mostly artificial gardens and flower beds, and there is a small amount of jungle. The roads are mostly paved with cement and slate, and there are paved paths. The runnability and permeability are very good, which is suitable for the development of orienteering relay race.
At 9:00 sharp, the first group of athletes who set out gathered at the starting point. The athletes of all groups set out in three batches. With a clear starting gun, the first group of women athletes started from the starting point. Five minutes later, the first group of male athletes set out. The reporter learned from the match map that there are not many points in the relay race, only about 18, but they are far apart and have certain difficulties. Some are on the deserted hillside, while others are hidden in the teaching building. The athletes ran on the campus of Sanya University, attracting many students from the university.
The first group of athletes returned to the finish line, took the pictures required by their group at the rostrum and handed them to the second group of starting athletes. In the whole competition, the strength of the elite group of colleges and universities was the most wonderful, and they represented the highest level of orientation of Chinese students. At about 11:00, the last group of athletes played at the end of the race.
At 17pm, the closing ceremony of the 2010 National Student Orienteering Classic and the first National University Campus Orienteering Cross-country Tour Finals was held in Sanya Beautiful Spring International Resort Hotel. Jiang Jingping, Secretary-General of the National Student Orienteering Association, Tang Wanhui, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the China Student Orienteering Association and Deputy Chief Judge of the Competition, Cao Yu, Director of the Sanya Municipal Bureau of Education, Zhu Jianqing, Chief Judge of the Competition, Li Weian, the Supervisor of the Competition, and Yabing, Chairman of Shanghai Yaning Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., attended the closing ceremony. Director Cao Yu delivered a speech and warmly congratulated on the success of the competition in Sanya. Chief referee Zhu Jianqing read out the results of the match. Guests attending the closing ceremony presented awards to the award-winning athletes.
With the success of the closing ceremony, the 2010 National Student Orienteering Classic and the first National University Campus Orienteering Tour Finals came to a successful end.
