The second National University Orienteering Cross-country Tour (Jiangxi Station) opens in Fuzhou

On May 28, 2011, the second national college orienteering cross-country tour (Jiangxi station) and the second orienteering cross-country tour of Jiangxi Province opened at Donghua University of Technology in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province. The competition was sponsored by the Orienteering Branch of the China University Sports Association and the China University Orienteering Training Center, hosted by the East China University of Technology and the Jiangxi Provincial Student Sports Association, and co-organized by the Orienteering Branch of the Jiangxi Provincial Student Sports Association College Student Work Committee. The competition attracted 25 teams from colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province, with nearly 400 athletes. The tour is divided into two groups: elite group and ordinary group, which are subdivided into four events: point race, mid-distance race, team race and 100-meter orienteering race.
In order to recognize the outstanding contributions made by Donghua University of Technology in the development and promotion of orienteering, the Chinese Students Orienteering Association specially awarded Donghua University of Technology the plaque of the National Students Orienteering Demonstration School. Zhang Guoping, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Physical Education of Donghua University of Technology, said in an interview with the reporter that the second National University Orienteering Cross-Road Tour was held in Donghua University of Technology, which is of great significance and influence for the construction of campus culture and the improvement of students' orienteering level. The athletes hold the map and the north arrow, and shuttle quickly between the points set up on the playground. The match proceeded in a tense and orderly manner. In the afternoon, there will be point competition and team competition on campus. The mid-distance race will be held in the outfield on the morning of the 29th.
