Notice on Holding the 7th National Surveying and Mapping Staff Orienteering Cross-country Competition of the "China Four-dimensional Cup"
Surveying and mapping societies of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and cities specifically designated in the state plan, member units of all organizations and relevant units:
In order to implement the Outline of the Action Plan for the Scientific Quality of the Whole People, further improve the scientific and cultural quality of the public and the awareness of the national territory, promote the implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Surveying and Mapping, the Education Law, the Sports Law and the Law of the People's Republic of China on Science Popularization, carry forward the spirit of science, enhance the cohesion, pride and team spirit of the surveying and mapping staff in the modernization construction, and activate the sports and cultural life of the staff. After consultation with relevant departments, the 7th National Surveying and Mapping Staff Orienteering Cross-country Competition of the "China Four-dimensional Cup" will be held in Nanchong, Sichuan Province, on July 23-29, 2011. The relevant competition rules are hereby printed and distributed to you. All relevant units are invited to actively organize the competition and jointly run the competition.

5、 Entry method
(1) Surveying and mapping societies of provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and cities specifically designated in the state plan can directly register for the competition. Each unit is limited to 1-3 adult teams and 1-3 youth teams.
(2) Members of the Chinese Society of Surveying and Mapping can directly apply for the competition, and each unit is limited to one adult team and one youth team.
(3) Other surveying and mapping units can register directly, and each unit is limited to one adult team and one youth team.
Each team can report one leader and one coach, and the competitors are limited to six men and six women.
Among the six athletes registered above, three of them can calculate the group scores in addition to the individual scores, and the other three only calculate the individual scores.
6、 Competition method
(1) The competition shall be conducted in accordance with the Rules of Orienteering Competition.
(2) The starting mode of athletes is determined by the Arbitration Commission, and the starting order is determined by computer random drawing.
(3) The referee is selected by the organizer.
7、 Competition items and admission ranking
(1) Events:
Short distance: adult men group, adult women group, young men group, young women group; Teacher group.
(2) Rank admission:
1. The adult men's group, the adult women's group, the young men's group, the young women's group, and the teacher's group will each be the top six, and will be issued with certificates and bonuses (respectively: 1000, 800, 600, 500, 400, and 300 yuan).
2. The top 3 players of the adult group and the youth group will be enrolled respectively (the team results will be accumulated according to the effective ranking of the top 3 men and women athletes of each group, and the smaller ones will be listed in the top), and certificates and bonuses will be issued (in order: 3000, 2000, 1000 yuan).
3. Set up excellent organization awards: no more than 10 (500 yuan), and issue certificates.
4. Set up sports ethics and fashion awards: no more than 10, and issue certificates.

9、 Funding
(1) The venue, map, equipment and expenses in the competition shall be borne by the organizer.
(2) Each team shall pay its own accommodation fee, and each team shall pay the entry fee (including meal fee and inspection fee) of 900 yuan.
(3) The organizer shall be responsible for the travel and accommodation expenses of the referee and the staff invited.
10、 Others
(1) Anyone who has any objection to the competition results, the referee's law enforcement, and the qualification of the contestants shall submit the Grievance Report signed by the team leader and the appeal fee of 500 yuan to the Organizing Committee for acceptance, and the original amount of the appeal fee for winning the case shall be refunded.
(2) All athletes, coaches and team leaders participating in the competition must apply for "personal accident insurance" (including on the way to and from the competition area and during the competition) with the local insurance company. At the time of check-in, a copy of the insurance documents must be submitted for inspection. Those who have not been insured are not allowed to participate.
(3) Participants in the youth group competition should be persons born after January 1971 (copies of ID cards must be submitted for examination).
(4) All competitors should bring their own "north compass" (they can also buy it at the competition registration office)
