The 2016 National Student Orienteering Championships will be held in Xingyi City, Qianxinan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province during the summer vacation of 2016. See the Competition Rules of the 2016 National Student Orienteering Championships for the specific time.
Xingyi City is located in the southwest of Guizhou Province, in the center of the junction of Guizhou, Yunnan and Guangxi provinces (regions), with a very advantageous geographical location. It is 104 ° 51 '- 104 ° 55' east longitude and 24 ° 38 '- 25 ° 23' north latitude. It is the seat of the state capital and the political, economic, cultural and information center of Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.
Xingyi is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, with the highest altitude of 2207 meters, the lowest altitude of 625 meters and the average altitude of 1251 meters. The karst landform in Xingyi City is well developed, accounting for 71.5%. It is extremely rich in natural resources and is praised by geologists as the second "golden triangle" in China.
Xingyi climate is "warm in winter and cool in summer, warm in sunshine, fresh and moist in air, and comfortable and pleasant in climate". The average annual temperature is between 15 ℃ and 18 ℃, and the average temperature in July is 22.2 ℃.
With its unique climate and resource advantages, Xingyi has become the permanent site and venue of the International Mountain Tourism Conference (IMTC), and has been selected as one of the top 50 summer tourism cities in China. In order to make all units fully prepare for the competition and successfully participate in the competition, relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
1、 Competition group
The military academy group and junior high school elite group will be added to the competition.
2、 Competition
The elite group, university professional group, military academy group and high school elite group of this competition plan to develop new distance race projects.
3、 Competition schedule
In order to ensure the health and safety of the participants, it is planned to arrange a day off during the competition.
4、 Eligibility
The participating units are limited to the member units of the directional branch of the China University Sports Association. Non-member units must obtain membership before May 26, 2016 before going through the procedures of athlete registration and entry. Please download the Application Form for Membership of the Directional Branch of the China University Sports Association on the official website of the branch.
Member units must pay the 2016 membership fee before May 31, 2016 before continuing to retain their membership and go through the registration procedures. 5、 Number of participants
Each team is limited to four male and four female athletes.
