Announcement of 2017 National Student Orienteering Championship (No. 1)

All participating units:
The 2017 National Student Orienteering Championships will be held in Xinfeng County, Guangdong Province during the summer vacation of 2017. See the Competition Rules of the 2017 National Student Orienteering Championships for the specific time.
Xinfeng County is located between 113 ° 42 ′ - 114 ° 36 ′ E and 23 ° 53 ′ - 24 ° 17 ′ N. It is located in the north of the central part of Guangdong Province and the birthplace of Xinfeng River. The county is 91.2 kilometers from east to west and 45 kilometers from south to north, with a total area of 2015.2 square kilometers. It borders Dongyuan County in the southeast, Lianping County in the northeast, Conghua City and Longmen County in the south, Wengyuan County in the north, Yingde City in the northwest, and Fogang County in the west. The highway mileage from the county seat to Shaoguan urban area is 165 kilometers, and that to Guangzhou urban area is 150 kilometers.
Xinfeng County is located in the north of the central part of Guangdong Province, in the transition area of the alternating influence of the east and west wind systems and the area of frequent activity and frequent influence of various kinds of weather in the temperate zone and the tropics. It belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate zone, with the basic characteristics of obvious monsoon and diverse climate types. Its prominent climate features: first, there is no severe cold in winter and no heat in summer, with warm climate and abundant rainfall. Second, the hills are undulating, the terrain is complex, the temperature vertical difference is large, and the three-dimensional climate is significant. Third, there are two rainy seasons. April to June is the pre-flood season, which belongs to the polar front rain belt precipitation. With the seasonal northward jump of the subtropical high in late June, affected by the tropical cyclone and other low-latitude tropical weather systems, the second rainy season (July to September) is entered, which is the post-flood season. Fourth, the climate is rich and superior, and it is also a place where meteorological disasters are frequent and serious, especially drought and flood. In order to make all units fully prepare for the competition and successfully participate in the competition, relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
1、 Competition group
It is planned to add a new military academy team in this competition. If there are less than 6 teams participating, the military academy team can only sign up for the competition of the university professional team.
2、 Competition
Due to climate and other factors, the long-distance race may be cancelled, and the subsequent notice shall prevail.
3、 Group total score
To further improve the safety management of the event and the competitiveness of the championship; The calculation method of the total score of the team in this competition will be changed to score according to the place, that is, the first eight places in the competition will be scored according to 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 respectively, and the specific method will be subject to the competition rules.
4、 Eligibility
The participating units are limited to the member units of the Directional Branch of the China University Sports Association. Only the member units that have completed the admission and payment of the membership fees in accordance with the Notice on Payment of the 2017 Membership Fees of the Directional Branch of the China University Sports Association (General Association Orientation (2017) Tongzi No. 006) can participate in the competition.
5、 Number of participants
Each team is limited to four male and female athletes.
