Announcement of 2019 National Student Orienteering Championship (No. 1)

The 2019 National Student Orienteering Championship is planned to be held in Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, from August 15 to 25, 2019. See the Rules for the 2019 National Student Orienteering Championship Competition for details.
Zunyi, referred to as "Zunyi" for short, is located in the north of Guizhou Province, the central city at the junction of Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing provinces and cities, and is a national tourism demonstration area. It is adjacent to Guiyang City in the south, Chongqing City in the north and Luzhou City in Sichuan Province in the west. It is located in the core area and main corridor of the Chengdu-Chongqing-Central Guizhou Economic Zone corridor, and the bridgehead, main position and pilot area of the cooperation between Guizhou and Chongqing. It is an important transportation hub in the southwest region that connects the north and the south, connects the east and the west, and connects the river to the sea. The city has jurisdiction over 3 districts, 9 counties and 2 county-level cities. It has a subtropical monsoon climate. It is cool and humid all year round, with no severe cold in winter and no heat in summer. It has abundant rainfall and sufficient sunshine. Zunyi is one of the first batch of national historical and cultural cities with the world cultural heritage Hailongtun and the world natural heritage Chishui Danxia. It enjoys the titles of China's Longevity Town, China's Houpu Town, China's Honeysuckle Town, China's high-quality green tea production area, China's famous tea town, and China's guitar manufacturing town. It has won many honors, such as the National Civilized City, the National Forest City, the National Health City, the Model City of Double Support, the Excellent Tourism City of China, the National Garden City and so on. At the same time, it is also the hometown of Maotai liquor, which is one of the three famous Chinese liquor "Maotai Five Swords". In 1935, the CPC held the famous "Zunyi Conference" in Zunyi, which became the turning point of the party's life and death, known as "the turning city, the conference capital".
In order to make all units fully prepare for the competition and successfully participate in the competition, relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:
1、 Competition group
This competition is planned to add military academy teams. If the number of participating teams is less than 6, the representative teams of military academy can only sign up to participate in the competition of professional teams of colleges and universities; Colleges and universities of the former elite group and the professional group of colleges and universities can simultaneously set up ordinary student sports teams to participate in the competition of undergraduate group C. In view of the current actual situation, the elite group and the professional group of colleges and universities will be adjusted, and the details will be subject to the Rules of the 2019 National Student Orienteering Championship Competition.
2、 Eligibility
The participating units are limited to the member units of the directional branch of the China University Sports Association. Only the member units that have completed the member registration confirmation and payment of membership fees can participate in the competition. The follow-up notice of the member registration confirmation and payment of membership fees will be given.
