On March 11, 2014, Tsinghua University officially launched a 100-meter orienteering course in the East playground! This is a carefully planned course after several months of discussion between Mr. Tian of the Sports Center of Tsinghua University and Hua Ruijian of Beijing!
In 2004, orienteering was included in the "sports and art 2+1 project" and the national project field survival and life training course. Tsinghua University was one of the earliest schools to carry out and promote orienteering at that time in China. Orienteering, as an indispensable military sports item in the military teaching and research section of the school's armed forces department, has been deeply loved. After years of practice and research, it has been proved that the development of orienteering is conducive to the implementation of quality education, and the fact that the school has listed orienteering as a school-based curriculum of physical education is the most powerful proof!
In view of the great influence and guiding force of Tsinghua University, a national first-level university, in China, the launch of this teaching course not only shows that the institutions of higher learning that have listed orienteering as the school-based curriculum of physical education have joined an important member, but also marks that orienteering has become an important part of the reform of physical education curriculum and the implementation of quality education in China's universities and middle schools, making the development of orienteering in China enter a new milestone!
