On Wednesday, March 19, 2014, Shenzhen Huaruijian helped the secondary school affiliated to Shenzhen University hold the campus orienteering cross-country competition!
The scene was extremely hot. More than 150 students were attracted by this novel and interesting activity, and then rushed to register for the competition. The tense and exciting competition lasted for nearly an hour, and the atmosphere was fiercer than expected. Many students continued to sign up. After the game, everyone gathered to discuss how to see the map and choose the route more quickly, and finally agreed that this is an activity that tests both physical strength and intelligence! Many students can't wait to sign up for the orienteering association and suggest that the association organize more activities regularly.
According to Mr. Qi, the person in charge of the competition, the event was fully organized by the school orienteering association. From the early publicity of the event to the registration organization, site application, material preparation, and on-site control of the event, all the members of the association were responsible for the organization and coordination. Mr. Qi only provided limited guidance for the event, and Shenzhen Huaruijian only provided equipment and technical support. Teacher Qi stressed: "What the school needs to cultivate is not the traditional 'high score machine'. Now it advocates quality education. The core of quality education is to cultivate the reasonable quality structure of people, including physical, psychological, ideological and cultural quality." In the next discussion, we learned the latest education concept of the attached middle school of Shenzhen University: to cultivate students' moral integrity, physical and mental health, rich knowledge, expertise, broad thinking With strong practical ability, students can learn to behave, learn to study, learn to work, learn to create, learn to live, learn to keep fit, learn to appreciate beauty, and grow into builders and successors of socialist cause with ideals, morality, culture and discipline.
Orienteering is not just a matter of relying on superior intelligence or physical strength to outdo others, but it needs to keep a clear head in high-speed running, be able to quickly and calmly analyze a large amount of information and make judgments decisively to achieve good results, which can play a great role in students' physical and mental health, rich knowledge and broad thinking. And letting students organize this activity by themselves can improve their ability to practice, learn to behave, learn to study, learn to work, and so on. To sum up, "very suitable for the requirements of quality education"! Therefore, more and more schools carry out orienteering competitions or public elective courses, and orienteering plays an increasingly prominent role in training talents!
